Is it really legal and how does that work ?

In june 2007 the European Union justice court forced the swedish authorities to legalize private import of alcoholic beverage.

Since July 1st 2008 has it now become legal for any private person in Sweden to order alcoholic beverage from another member state and have them home delivered.

However, the sole condition to this is that excise duty tax on alcohol and value added tax be paid in Sweden whether you order one single bottle or several cases as long as they stand for your own sake.
